What is the best fabric to use if I want to glue patches of it on a decorative pillow?

I bought a long plain body pillow that is not meant to be put into a pillow case and I would like to cut out shapes and glue it onto the pillow. What kind of fabric could I use and cut shapes out of that wouldn't shred? Also would hot glue work or would it be better to get a fabric glue or maybe even super glue? Please help!!

1. get someone to sew around them to stop them shredding ,there are not many fabrics that do not shred,crimperlin at one time did not shred
