Gluesticks

Can I use superglue on a large cut from shaving on my leg?

I am going swimming tomorrow and i dont want the chlorine to burn the open cut so i know super glue works on small cuts but what about larger ones. Is it worth trying or is there somehting else i can do that is less risky?

  1. You could, but I would not recommend it. First of all, superglue contains quite a few chemicals that you probably would not running around in your bloodstream, and second, it would hurt like H-E double hockey sticks.
  2. yeah try one of those liquid bandages things....they sell at regular grocery stores
  3. You shouldn't put SUPERGLUE on any open skin, not matter how small!!!!!!!!! It contains toluene among other things that is TOXIC!. Do not do that! There is some stuff called new skin which is a liguid that dries to a sealed bandage, you can get it at Walgreens, Wal-mart, places like that or a good full line drug store.
  4. you should look for another way to fix the cut!
  5. OUCH!! thatsw would hurt.. and it may infect the cut. try using butterfly bandages to hold the cut together, then use that liquid band aid stuff.... the butterlfy bandages will help the liquid band aid to not get into the cut, just shield the surface.
  6. HECK NO! Use Neosporin or a bandaid. Superglue will not help. That's just stupid----- it's toxic. It could possibly kill you.
  7. Super glues says right on it keep out of contact of skin.Get some beta dine ....Hospitals use it to clean wounds or prepping for surgery. This can be bought at Walgreen's.co, walmart.com Apply the beta dine then put a towel and pressure on the cut. .Disinfect the wound with the beta dine and once the bleeding stops from the combination of the beta dine and the oxygen from the air apply a butterfly bandage you can also get those at Walgreen's or walmart. This will keep the wound disinfected as well as bandaged so it can heal properly.
