Glue for two-piece composite hockey stick?
The hot melt glue in craft glue guns won't cut it, because it dries too soft. I need something that does well in cold temperatures for outdoor and indoor hockey. Hopefully it isn't super expensive, but does a great job of bonding the stick to the blade. I haven't been too impressed with the stuff that comes on the blade, as it seems to wear out fairly quickly. What I should be looking for? Can I find it at a hardware store?

- there are 2 products that will help you both are available at arts and crafts store like michales. e6000 is the best adhesive i have ever used you could glue a rusty fender back on a car with it the other is gorilla glue i have personally not used it but hear it does wonders
- No don't use any type of adhesive or gorilla glue. There is a special type of glue that will be sold at your local sporting store. If you use gorilla glue when the blade breaks you won't be able to get the little part of the broken blade out. But if you use the special glue you can heat it with a heat gun so it melts and the blade pops right out.
- Yeah if you plan on using the shaft again dont use gorilla glue, go to your local pro shop and get them to put the balde in properly.
- admittingly I don't have the greatest slap shot in the world but glue tape (which you melt and rub against hosel of the blade before you put the blade in the shaft) has always worked well and it's affordable. check for it next time you're either at the rink or hardware store.
