Gluesticks

What glue sticks to Rubbermaid containers?

I'm trying to glue something to a Rubbermaid (the inside) container, and can't find any type of glue that sticks to it. The surface is very smooth/slick, and probably made to prevent things from sticking on purpose. There must be some kind of glue that'll work - any ideas? Glues that have failed so far are: Epoxy, superglue, white glue, model glue, silicone, and hot glue-gun. It all just easily peels right off. I'd appreciate any help with the, thank you for any ideas.

  1. you need a glue for NON POROUS surfaces. Since plastic does not have pores like such things as paper and wood, it does not bond well when using glue. I happened to google "glue for non porous surfaces, and came up with a number of things including... http://www.yankeeharvest.com/weldbond/ goodluck!
  2. Rub the inside with a scrubber used for dishes like steelwool to rough up the surface. Hot glue or any other you have tried should work once the surface is scratched up. Rubber cement is also a very good glue for plastic
