Can you hot glue Popsicle sticks together to form a stable structure?

For a science project I need to build lever bopper aka that thing in cartoons which has a boxing glove on a thing that looks like this XXX. I am wondering, if I hot glue say 4-8 popsicle sticks together if it'd be possible fo it to be stable. I also need to drill holes in this so ehehe, Thanks Alot!

  1. Yes you can.
  2. It will only be as stable as the glue you use. Make sure that you use something stronger than hot glue.
  3. Is this thing supposed to move? If it is, gluing the points together will prevent that. You'd be better off drilling the holes and setting either eyelets or mini-brads, to allow the sticks to move. If you just want to stick two craft sticks together, wood glue is the best, but there is also a hot glue stick for wood which has greater strength than regular hot glue.
