Gluesticks

How can I prevent the egg from breaking by only using toothpicks and glue sticks?

1. Im not sure but ive done it with straws and tape. don't know seems like it wouldn't hold well with glue sticks
2. make an egg crate shaped item out of the gluesticks and use the toothpicks in there as well, you could make it into a box shape and use the toothpicks to prop the egg. The reason I say egg crate is because it works on transport from the farm to stores. So it has to work for your experiment.
