Will a glue gun with glue sticks suffice to fix a book that is coming off its binding (hard cover dictionary)?
Or is there a better glue for this?

- I've never been that enamored of hot glue. I would go with something like rubber cement or gorilla glue.
- I wouldn't use rubber cement. A hot glue gun can work, just realize that there are several different types of hot glue. You'll want a type that works well with paper or wood. If you use a hot glue gun make sure you cover it well and that you get the book adhered to the binding before the glue cools too much or it won't stick well. I would try something like a wood glue or Gorilla glue. Paper is primarily wood fibers and it should create a very strong bond. A wood glue would be by top choice. Even something like children's glue such as Elmer's glue might work well.
- Hot melt glue might not give you enough flexibility. I would suggest an adhesive that is designed for gluing paper would do a better job.
- I dnt think a glue gun will stick a book that's coming off its binding as the book isnt plastic. U'll need some pva glue, that should work. After u apply the glue use strong clamps like those used by carpenters for fixing wood to their working table till it drieds. It might need a day or two till it dries.
