Gluesticks

Can you take purell or a glue stick on an airplane?

Can you take purell or a glue stick on an international flight? If so, do they need any special packaging? Do you mean all the liquids I take have to add up to no more than 3 oz. or just each individual liquid container must hold no more than 3 oz?

  1. it has to be less than 3 oz. If it is, they let it on without any special anything. Glue stick should be small enough... and i'm sure that purell has a special travel sized version.
  2. Purell would have to be in special packaging if in a carry on, and the glue stick I am not so sure, but I would put it in the special packaging for a carry on just to be safe.
  3. Yes. Both items would have to be in containers that hold 3.4 oz or less. And both containers would have to be in a one quart plastic bag with any other 'fluids' you have. Shampoo, deoderant, lipstick, toothpaste, etc. When you go through security, remove the quart bag from your luggage and place it in the plastic bin so it is visible to the TSA workers.
  4. Yeah, you can take purell, but it has to be 3 oz or less...I think the travel sized purell bottles are fine. Each container must be 3 oz or less. Its not add them up to be 3 oz.
