remove glue off hardwood floor?
ok i had this guy do my hardwood floor. the price was GREAT. he didnt do a bad job either. but when he finished he took off and never came back to clean it. now i have glue everywhere on my floor. i bought adhesive remover and scrub but no good. i went to home depot and they told me since i used bostik's glue it might not come off... im thinking about renting a buffer and putting mineral oil on it and buffing it with that. but i wanna be sure its gonna work cuz i dont wanna waste my money and have it not work. any suggestions on removing bostik's glue is greatly apreciated...thanks alot

- if it is just a glue haze which I have run into before,I bought some simple hardwood cleaner and it took a while but I eventually got it up......I would try that before anything else.........
- white spirit or paint stripper if its thick.if it is just smears use white spirit on a rough cloth.I'm a painter and that's what we use for all our spillages
- bostik actually makes a glue remover itself.. but you could also use mineral spirits.. but trust me, that stuff is HARD to get off no matter what you use. it is not a problem that they got it on the floor, everybody does.. but you need to use some serious elbow grease to get it off. i like to go over it once, kinda heavy with the moisture, than a few minutes later, go over it again. this gives the spirits time to loosen up the glue.. but most importantly, remember ALOT of elbow grease.. it will take time good luck
