What is a good Hot Glue Gun to purchase?
Are there different levels of quality in guns and/or glue, because when I tried to hot glue fake fiber spiderwebs to brick last Halloween I had a great difficulty getting everything to stick. My next project is gluing feathers to wood?

- Glue guns are all pretty much equal. The only difference I have come across is: Hot glue with oval sticks or round sticks. Dual sticks to use in dual stick guns which I always needed to use on the hot level to be affective Cool guns, which I don't like except for a limited amount of usages. There are some things that hot glue just won't work on, as you have found out. If your choice is hot glue, and you are very neat, you won't have a problem with gluing feathers to wood.
- Most are pretty much equal but I prefer the guns with a trigger rather than pushing the glue stick through... easier and less apt to get burnt. Also the next time you try to glue to brick or anything similar... try putting a bit of glue down first, then let it dry, then glue your piece to the glue which has dried to the surface holding it for a few seconds. It usually works since it gives the piece something to hold onto rather than the original surface.
