Could I use glue gun to keep ethernet cable in place?
I want to use a glue gun to keep ethernet cable from going all over the place when connecting it into the other room for 'multiple internet use'. Is it safe and will it work?

- yes it's safe but whether it will hold it or not i don't know. You could use a staple gun that is capable of bending the staples around the cables.I think they are called 'U' staples
- I would get a wireless router they work good.
- Well, its safe; it won't damage the cable. However it will be difficult to ever move or clean up once you decide to move. If you have carpet in the rooms, you can do a trick I have used: Carefully pull up the edge of carpet along the wall and (looking out for the very sharp tack strips the carpet is stuck on) lay the cable underneath the carpet. At the other end, use a knife to cut a slice from the underside of the carpet, from the edge to a couple inches in away from the wall. Bring the cable up through this slice. Then push the carpet back down, in contact with the tack strips. You might use a hammer handle to rub it along over the top of the tack strips, pushing the tack nails into the carpet backing. This takes a bit more time, but it makes for a neat, clean installation. Good Luck Mike
- After the glue breaks loose you may like to try these. (see link) My Home depot has pack of 3 or 5 or something like that.
