Is glue from a glue gun harmful to hamsters?
His toy broke so i glued it together with a glue gun. Is it harmful to the hamster? Its not a lot...and its not all over.

- If he eats it, it would be bad. I would just throw the toy away, and get a sturdier one that won't break.
- YES!! IT CAN KILL THEM NEVER EAT GLUE
- Hamsters like to chew, so I wouldn't recommend you let him have that toy anymore. Glue can be harmful to hamsters, so it would be best to just get another. It's possible that your hamster may not eat it, since it can't be very tasty, but there is a small risk and I wouldn't want to take it. Just replace his toy with something like a toilet paper roll for a while until you get a new one. :]
- get him a new toy. you don't want him to eat glue.
- just buy a new toy. that glue will be toxic for him. :)
- it's harmful to humans......... and other animals, so it's probably harmful to a hamster. R.I.P your hamster
- No, it won't be harmful as he will likely not eat any of it. Most people don't realize that when a rodent chews on something, they don't actually eat the bits of it that get chewed off. Their mouth is specially designed with flaps that protect debris from falling back into their throat as they chew. If you actually notice him eating large amounts of the glue (which is unlikely as it can't possibly taste good) then you may want to remove it, but most likely he won't even touch it or if he does gnaw it he won't eat any of it. Good luck with your hamster!
- i guess NOT to. if he might eat it it would kill your baby hammie
- I wouldn't take my chances and buy a new toy. If you didn't get any actual glue on the toy where he could get to it then it would probably be fine. My hamster likes to tear things apart and chew a lot so I wouldn't chance it.
