I need information on how to remove the glue from a glue gun on crocket work?

I used a glue gun to attach a name tag to some crochet work and I need to know how to remove it without having to redo all my work

1. put it in the freeze for a day take it out & it will come off good luck
2. Hot glue? Maybe if you wrapped your work in a towel, laid it flat, and used an iron on it it would melt the glue loose.
