Is hot-melt glue/silicone toxic if used inside your mouth?
I have braces, and my orthodontist left a really long metal wire in--that I know is not supposed to be that long. Normally, I would just go to the office and have them fix it, but I'm leaving on a trip in a couple days, and I won't be able to go in. I've tried wax, but it does no good. So, I ask again, does hot-melt glue have any side effects or toxins that I should be aware of? Thanks!

- You shouldn't use that, it may mess up your brackets or wires. Call them and tell them. If they are not open, page the doctor and tell them it is an emergency and you need the wire fixed before you leave. Someone should be able to show up at the office to fix it before you leave.
- I wouldnt try it, If it is livable then just keep it until you can make it back to the dentists.
- Get to the dentist!!! Find the time it will only take them a few minutes to fix the problem.
