How do I remove hot glue residue from a lampshade?
I have a white cotton lampshade that has hot glue residue on it. Not just big globs, but long stringy pieces as well. What's the best way to get it off? I have tried using a hairdryer to melt it...it didn't work too well.

- It should just peal right off when it's dry. You don't want it melted because it will just spread it around and make it harder to get off.
- try one of these: Put some ice in a plastic bag and keep it there for sometime till the glue become hard and try to take it out. ... OR Fold a piece of a newspaper and put it on the glue and pass an iron on it gently or keep there but for a short time only, it will melt and get stuck to the newspaper.
- try putting the whole shade in a freezer for awhile, it should roll/break right of the fabric. let me know..
