Gluesticks

I was burned by hot glue.?

I was foolishly trying to melt the hot glue stick, and flaming drips of glue fell off on my hand. In shock I immediately tried to rip off the drying glue (bad idea) now have a fleshy wound. Somehow there is a waxy material all oover the wound? Should i be concerned?
