How to Remove Hem Tape Glue From Clothing?

My Boss had a skirt that the hem came out. I told her that I would repair it. I used seamless hem tape but my iron must have been too hot and the glue melted to the fabric and looks really bad. How can I remove the hem tape from the fabric? The fabric is also dry clean only so I am very nervous about applying anything to the fabric. HELP!!

1. try putting an ice cube on it and then rub it off.
2. rubbing alcohol cigarette lighter fluid I use the cigarette lighter fluid to remove glue from labels, etc.. all the time - - however, on a dry clean, I would use the rubbing alcohol to avoid odor and it dries quickly. Hope you got it off. If in doubt, take it to the cleaners for a Clean Only (solvent removes glue). Finish hem. Then do the Press Only.
