Gluesticks

How do I get super glue off my hand?

I spilled some super glue on my hand yesterday. I've tried nail polish remover and it didn't work (only helped me remove my rings). Some of it has come off, but my skin is becoming irritated and cracked. Any suggestions?

  1. Nail polish remover
  2. use a nail varnish remover containing acetone. this usually works, however if it doesnt, just start applying hand cream and it should start to peel off. good luck. hope this helps x
  3. wow. thats bad. the next best thing i can think of is go get it freezed off.or burned...................
  4. I would have thought make up remover would have done the trick. Try different hand creams, try E45 cream.
  5. wow thats bad.
  6. nail polish remover with acetone if that doesn't work go to the doctor!!! visit www.webjam.com/stories
  7. do nothing, same thing happned to me too. i didn't mind it , it removed on its own, since we produce oil automatically... and placing nail polish will definitely irritate it... placing whatever makes it harder..... lotion... its a good remover..
  8. see this site i searched for you it has many answers from people's experience so try them http://www.ehow.com/tips_116797.html try this i got it from the site its 4 pages so read it all i'm sure one of those ways will work with you I got a lot of glue on the pads of three fingers of both hands. I tried nail polish remover, it did not work. I tried Goo Gone, and that did not work. I rubbed Vaseline around on the finger tips with a gentle scraping motion from a fingernail. After about 5 minutes of this, I switched to a few minutes of scrubbing with a hand soap and then back to the Vaseline for a few minutes more (with the same rubbing and scratching motions). It worked. I was able to get 99% of the glue off my skin. good luck
  9. try to wash it off with water and soap... and if that doesnt work use lotion, that helped me.
