how do I get super glue off of my kitchen counter?
My husband spilled an entire bottle of super glue in a long wavy line across the kitchen counter...any suggestions?

- try goo gone
- Try boiling water. This might soften it
- Fingernail polish remover will breakdown the superglue. Be sure to ventilate while you are using it.
- finger nail polish remover it is the actual solvent for superglue
- see if lighter fluid or paint thinner can get it off. make sure that there's NO OPEN flame in the kitchen and that its well-ventilated first.
- you can try nail polish remover
- you would want to use something that will disolve the superglue but not hurt the countertop, obviously. I beleive that your nail polish remover will work, as will laquer thinner, but dont leave that on the counter too long. Pour some into a cloth and rub just over the glue. Let the cloth dry spread out outside when you are finished. It could combust if you just wad it up somewhere!
- Acetone polish remover followed by a double edged razor blade scraping the rest off.
- Unfortunately.. you did not say if the super glue was on ceramic, tile, wood or what...If it was corian, I would use a scraper that has a razor blade in it but VERY carefully.. then Corian comes with a buffer material and would then use that.. If other, I would use the razor blade knife thing but NOT NOT NOT to scratch the surface so the angle would have to be held JUST right.. I would also try a warm soapy water first with slight rubbing to see if I could get off some of it and/or soften it for the razor blade treatment.
- Super Glue remover is available at larger hardware stores. or try acetone-base nail polish remover Warnings: Don't use solvents such as gasoline or paint thinner.
- Acetone.
- Use fingernail polish remover with acetone to remove it. Must be with acetone, the acetone is not strong enough for this.
- Nail polish remover or Goo Gone! Works wonders
