What is best to remove glue ?
I have removed carpets on a marble floor. I had used two two sided strip stickers to hold them in place. I have removed the strips witha hot gun. There is still some glue stuck to the marble. I have used laquer thinner and contact glue remover but it did not help much.

- i guees hot water?
- you can use nail vanish remover
- MORE GLUE!! :D
- goo gone is good for that stuff
- try melting it if its from glue gun
- paint thinner
- Nail polish remover - contains acetone, might have to get alot of it depending on how big the spot is.
- paint thinner
- hairdryer........
- Elbow Grease,Heat and Scraper.
- Razor blade or acetone. If you use a razor blade, single edged, tilt at a slight angle and slowly cut off the glue, be sure not to dig the blade into the marble. The blade will scratch the marble if you dig in, do not use a scraper, just the blade by itself and be careful, go slow and you can slice the glue off. Use leather gloves. If you use acetone, do not get it on other surfaces. IE.. wood, paint, mast off with plastic.
- A product called Goo Gone, it is made exactly for what you are talking about. Should be able to find it at a hardware.
- WD40 and a scraper
- What I have done to remove some of the most impossible messes is to spray WD-40 very thoroghly onto the mess, let it set for about 10 min. and then it will usually come off no problem. WD-40 is a lubricant intended for automotive steel repair, in case you didn't know.
