  1. tissue paper might tear, but is light. i would use construction paper. clear tape, and regular glue. now answer mine about the play-doh lol
  2. You need to chose the lightest materials to be sure that the heated air can lift the balloon. So, you use tissue paper for the envelope (skin) of the balloon, regular paper for the basket as this will be easier to fold into an open box shape and straws for the supports between the balloon and the basket. Use the stick glue to hold the basket together as it sticks regular paper really well, but use thin (runny) white glue to join the tissue paper as stick glue will tear it. Let the glue dry out to obtain its maximum strength before trying to float the balloon. The white glue or the stick glue will hold the straws in place but, again, let it dry throughly. If the glue doesn't work too well, use the sticky tape, but remember that it is quite stiff and can't easily be bent to stick properly to the balloon. And, when you use the hair dryer, don't put the nozzle directly under the balloon. It will go up like a rocket, but will probably be destroyed in the process. You just need the lowest, hottest settings to gently heat the air inside the balloon. Balloons were designed for elegance, not speed, in flight.
