Removing rubber backing/carpet glue on concrete w/ paint remover. Surface treatment, patching before painting?

2. Go to a hardware store and ask for a floor scraper.

I would use an concrete etch to open the pores on the concrete. if you patch you will need to do this anyway because new concrete will not adhere well to old concrete, some patch mixes have the etch in them some do not. etch is an acid so make sure you have LOTS !!! of ventilation BE CAREFUL - harmful fumes that are flammable Jewells 28 months and still here
