what does one use to solder a decorative rung on metal daybed? Tried epoxy and super glue.Just seperates again

- get a new bed and this time dont let any big gals in it.
- The question can't be answered without knowing what metal or metals are involved. Solder is an unlikely option.
- Probably a steel bed, welding is your best option, you should be able to find a cheap welder in your area that will do it for 20-30 bucks or so, call around, some guys will try to cheat an amateur, and it's a quick simple job.
- There is a product that we have used for years that works very well called JB Weld that can be bought in most auto parts stores and can be found in the large home centers too. Follow the directions and you will have an excellent joint. I have fixed holes in freeze plugs with it and have done several high strenght repairs with it for mechanical purposes. The weld will hold over 2000 lbs of stress so I must say, you won't find much better unless you get a real weld or solder joint.
