Gluesticks

Is there a solution for the removal of super-glue from the skin?

Had a little accident.

  1. Try nail polish remover, I've heard that works really well.
  2. Use nail polish remover with acetone. It might be helpful to put some of the remover on a napkin and wipe off the glue, because otherwise the acetone might dry before you can wipe it off, and the glue will just smear all over your hands.
  3. Let me guess. You laughed your butt off and tried to glue it back on again. Next time use sutures. Superglue only works for teeth. You knew or you should have known that. Best let the glue dry and have someone chip off the excess with a hammer and chisel.
  4. Just apply plenty of running water until glue loosen up.
  5. It happened to me to then I read the back it said to use rub alcohol and rub it for five minutes then rinse that area with water (hot for 5 seconds)
  6. Vaseline. Just apply a bit and rub it in and wait a bit and then wipe it off. repeat.
  7. Sometimes it will come free in warm soapy water, like a bath. (It doesn't stick well to wet skin!!) They DO make a special 'Debonder' you can buy that will work with MOST super-glue type formulations. As already stated, sometimes acetone types of nail polish remover will remove it. The various ways depend on the exact formulation of the glue. OR you could just let it wear off.
  8. Remove it by using more glue!
  9. Scream "Hayazaka!" as you rip yore skin apart...it works, and it's the only way....
