How do I loosen the glued on sticks?
I just got this coffee table that has a design on top that consists of bamboo like sticks glued on. Many of the sticks started to come loose and I just ended up removing them with the plan of just staining the table. Anyhow, there are a few sticks that are really hard to get off. Is there a clever trick to loosen the glue underneath to make them come off easier?

- Try using a putty knife with the beveled edge down.
- If you are planning to refinish the table, the stripper should loosen the adhesive on the sticks. Follow label instructions and end up with a new table.
- I'd use a heat-gun (or hair-dryer) to help warm and loosen the glue, then lift the "sticks" with a putty knife. Obviously, then you will have to sand the table top to prep it for stain. Good Luck !!
