- I tried using pliers, but the tube split and I got the stuff all over my fingers! Not recommended, just buy a new tube.
- happens to me. just take this advice. DO NOT BITE IT!! don't get your mouth anywhere near it!!! just use scissors and dont run :-D
- You Can Not, I Had The Same Problem. Just Buy a New One.
- be sure to clean all the glue off the bottle before closing it each time
- I've tried to use scissors before and it worked. It might have dried out so you'll probably need to buy a new one.
- leave it to soak in coke cola but dont drink the coke afterwards for F***sake :)
- Tap it around the cap gently at first and if it doesn't respond smash the living daylights out of it under a blanket of newspaper...then rejoice in the knowledge gained here and buy a new one.
- Put it in a container of hot water for a while and this should soften it. Then you may have to use pliers.
- Realistically, you're probably looking at destroying the cap no matter how you do it, so forget the cap and cut the bottom corner off the tube since this is the last time you're going to use it anyway. Then buy more and keep the tip clean next time.
- If I'm desperate I'll chuck a small drill bit into a drill or pin vise and ream out the hole. Just clean the bit with acetone or fingernail polish remover(debonder for CA). Usually this does mean your at the end of the bottle"s usefulness.
- The real way to prevent this from happening is to, From new keep the tube up-right. When you have used it put the cap on again immediately and keep the tube upright, store it upright. If you do this you will have no problem opening it the next time. That is my experience.
- I had this problem when i purchased a small bottle , i did get the top off but when i replace it i put a small smear of butter on the outer thread of bottle to stop it sticking but do not over tighten just finger tight. I also keep the glue in the fridge which is lasting me a long time.
- You will find it very difficult to get the cap off, best if there is still some glue in the tube is to cut the corner of the bottom of the tube and you will get enough to use, then discard the the tube.
- If it's a twist cap, use something to hold the top to give you more grip, and something else (maybe a vice) to hold the actual tube. Just twist, it WILL eventually come off.
